A bonfire to be in Lisburn, north of Belfast is built with tires and industrial wood pallets. The pallets are treated with chemicals. Loyalist bonfires are constructed and burnt all over Belfast on July 11. The European Union fines the city thousands of pounds each year for pollution. The pollution in Belfast on that night exceeds that measured throughout the entire rest of the year.
